Ladakh -"land of high passes" is noted for its mountain beauty and culture situated in Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. Tsomoriri Lake or the mountain lake is surrounded by the Tsomoriri Wetland Conservation Reserve.
The Tsokar is known for its size and depth, and is a salt lake situated in the Rupshu Plateau and valley. Pangong Tso, is a high grassland lake in the Himalayas and it is situated at a height of about 4,350 mtr. Nubra Valley is a tri-armed valley situated on the north east of Ladakh valley.
